Epilepsy Foundation of Southeast Tennessee

Our mission as the Epilepsy Foundation of Southeast Tennessee is to improve the lives of people affected by epilepsy through education, advocacy, research, and connection.

Did you know that:

• 1 in 26 Americans will develop epilepsy in their lifetime? It is the 4th most common neurological disorder?
• East Tennessee (including the Southeast) has a higher prevelance rate for epilepsy than any other part of the state?
• 41% of adults with active epilepsy in the United States reported being in fair or poor health?

That’s why your support matters more than ever. The Epilepsy Foundation of Southeast Tennessee provides free resources and support to individuals and families across 14 counties in Tennessee and North Georgia, including: 

• Advocacy & case management
• Art therapy & support groups
• Community education & helmet awareness initiatives
• Seizure recognition & first-aid training
• Transportation, prescription & neurology assistance
