Since 2015, The Net Resource Foundation has cast its net into the heart of South Chattanooga—revitalizing and restoring the people of Alton Park through food security, childcare, youth mentorship, community programming, and civic engagement. Rooted in faith and service, our mission has always been to meet our neighbors where they are and respond to their needs with compassion, inclusion, and integrity.

Born out of Westside Church, The Net Resource Foundation embodies the spirit of Matthew 13:47—“the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind.” For nearly a decade, we have gathered every kind—families seeking support, youth searching for purpose, and neighbors looking for connection—and worked hand-in-hand to strengthen our community from within.

Now, we’re building on that foundation through Cocoa Cafe, the next phase of our mission and a cornerstone of sustainability for South Chattanooga. More than a café, this vibrant community hub will serve as a workforce and economic development engine—creating jobs, nurturing culinary talent, supporting local food entrepreneurs, and providing a welcoming space for connection and collaboration. Cocoa Cafe represents the future of what’s possible when community leads with vision and faith.
